1. Agreement
By downloading or using Jensen Monitor ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the app. Simple.
Jensen Monitor is operated by Jensen Monitor ("we", "us", "our"), founded by Mikael Benfredj.
2. What the App Does
Jensen Monitor is a macOS menu bar application that tracks your AI provider spending by connecting to provider APIs using your own API keys.
- The app runs entirely on your Mac
- It connects directly to AI provider APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, etc.)
- All data is stored locally on your machine
- We have no servers, no backend, no access to your data
3. License
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Jensen Monitor on any Mac you personally own or control.
You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
4. Free & Pro Plans
Free tier: Jensen Monitor is free to use with up to 4 API providers. Local providers (Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf) are always free and don't count toward this limit.
Pro license: A one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited providers, full history, and all future features. Pro licenses are sold through our payment partner Paddle. Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record for all purchases.
Trial: You may start a 14-day free trial of Pro features. No payment information is required to start a trial.
5. Refund Policy
We offer a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. If Jensen Monitor isn't for you, just email us and we'll process your refund immediately.
To request a refund, email contact@jensenmonitor.com with your license key or purchase email. Refunds are processed through Paddle within 5–10 business days.
After 14 days, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. We're reasonable people.
6. Your API Keys
You are responsible for your own API keys. Jensen Monitor stores them in macOS Keychain and uses them solely to fetch your usage data from provider APIs.
We never see, transmit, or store your API keys on any server. If your API key is compromised, it is not through Jensen Monitor — we have no infrastructure that could leak it.
7. Disclaimer
Jensen Monitor is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do our best to display accurate spending data, but we rely on third-party APIs that may change without notice.
We are not responsible for:
- Inaccurate data returned by provider APIs
- Changes to provider API availability or pricing
- Any financial decisions made based on data displayed by the App
- Damages arising from the use or inability to use the App
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the App is limited to the amount you paid for your Pro license (or $0 if you're on the free tier).
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Paris, France.
